April is over, and while there were some great April Fools pranks from around the industry, the sales were no joke. Americans have proven once again that their thirst for firearms is as strong as ever.

As for the types of guns people were buying, there were a lot of familiar faces this past month, showing that great deals never have a shelf life. Check out all the best-selling guns for the month of April 2023 below!

Top 5 Handguns

We were dishing out deals on all guns during the month of April, but handguns had some of the best around. People responded big time with their wallets. We continue to have a screaming deal on the Draco 9S, and that is enough to land it at the number one spot after coming off a strong performance in March.

Second place is the always-dependable G43X, which is back on this list after taking a surprising break in March. The number three spot is another Glock, albeit one that isn’t used to being on this list: a G22 Gen 4. You may be asking why an older Glock like this would be on this list – we’ll again chalk this up to a great LE Trade-In deal that has fans clamoring for one.

Coming in at number four is the Tisas 1911 A1 Tanker, which is a great little Commander-length 1911 with a great price point to boot. If you’re looking for your first 1911, this might be it. Finally, rounding out the list in April is the familiar Taurus G2C. This little handgun continues to show up every month for those looking for a reliable budget 9mm.

Top 5 Rifles & Carbines

If there is a hotter item in the firearms world than the S&W M&P FPC, then we don’t know about it. For the second month in a row, the FPC claims the top spot by a wide margin – like Usain Bolt racing an average guy. Expect to see plenty of FPCs on the range this summer.

Back on this list at number two after taking a month off is the Ruger SFAR lightweight AR-10. The third spot belongs to another rifle that has been a hot commodity: the Marlin Model 1895 SBL.

Did we mention that we love LE Trade-Ins? Well, you must, too, because coming in at number four is the Tavor SAR LE Trade-In. They are almost gone now, so if you want one, now is the time. Rounding out this list is a newcomer from the same company as the Tavor, the Zion Z-15.

Top 5 Shotguns

Finally, scatterguns also sold well last month, while being a bit more predictable than the previous two categories. At number one is the shotgun we see on this list probably more than any other: the Maverick 88 Security. Second place goes to the Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol, which has seen a resurgence over the past couple months.

Third on the list is the most expensive, but also the most tacti-cool: the Mossberg 940 Pro Tactical. Number four on the list is the GForce LVR410, more evidence the lever-action shotgun craze might not be a fad after all. It seems that these guns are sticking around, especially when we’re cutting deals on some of the nice case-hardened models.

Rounding out the list at number five is another tactical shotgun with a big capacity and short barrel, the Keltec KSG
