Maybe it's the heat, but sales were sizzling during June as Americans bought over 1 million guns for the 47th month in a row. We had some surprise visitors to our lists of best-selling handguns, rifles, and shotguns, along with some familiar favorites. And if you haven't been paying attention to KelTec, you might want to start, as the brand showed up on all three lists this month.

Here are the best selling guns on in June 2023.

Top 5 Handguns

You might not expect to see KelTec pop up on this list with not just one, but two top-selling handguns, but a deal on a high-capacity P50 with a factory blemish catapulted it into our number one spot for June. The space-age 50-round pistol ousted the Draco 9S from the number one spot it held for April and May, leaving the 9S at number two – but barely. In a close third, KelTec is back with the P17, a fun little .22 we found to be an extra-affordable plinker or even a survival gun.

The number four spot goes to another return candidate, the Tisas 1911A1. We reviewed this full-sized GI-style 1911 back in May, and it must have caught some eyes as sales continued to be brisk throughout June.

Finally, we have the reliable G43X, always a good choice and a frequent flyer on this list.

Top 5 Rifles & Carbines

Judging by the numbers, June was all about PCCs and lever guns. KelTec again slid in to the number one spot while offering a $100 rebate on its SUB2000 folding pistol caliber carbine, a handy choice for a truck gun and lot of fun for busting targets. For the first time this year, the KelTec PCC ousted another great truck gun option, the new and extremely popular Smith & Wesson FPC, from its number one position and bumped it to second for June.

Number three goes to another returner, recently reintroduced by Ruger, the Marlin 1895 Trapper. This revamped Marlin lever gun is definitely worth a look, especially with the included Skinner Sights setup.

Coming in at number four, we have the Rossi R92, another classically-styled lever gun ready to accompany you on a backcountry hunt. And at number five, Henry goes tactical with the large-loop Big Boy X Model, bringing a modern accessory-ready twist to the traditional Western lever action.

Top 5 Shotguns

Bullpup-style shotguns dominated in June, and our high-capacity 12-gauge KelTec KSG tactical package beat out the competition to land in number one. We souped up the KSG with a Holosun HE403C-GR green dot optic, a Magpul vertical foregrip, sling, and Kydex cheek riser for a combination that's range-ready out of the box.

In a rare turn of events, two Tokarev guns soared to the number two and three spots: the TBP 12M and TAR 12MP, respectively.

In number four, we find Mossberg's top tactical shotgun, the 940 Pro Tactical. This popular home defense scattergun returned to the list but moved down a notch for June.

Last but not least is another pump-action Mossberg suited to home defense, the Maverick 88 Security
