Steiner Optics is building out its Micro Pistol Sight series with a new variant, now available in flat dark earth.

Steiner, a subsidiary of Beretta, is well known and respected for its rifle glass, binos, and range finders, which have long been a staple of military service around the globe. The company only entered the micro red dot market in November 2021 with the closed-emitter MPS and it soon proved extremely popular.

Completely sealed and nitrogen-filled with a roof-mounted 3.3 MOA emitter, the sight has a very low deck – alleviating the need for suppressor-height iron sights to co-witness. Further, the easily accessible top-mounted battery compartment means the user doesn't have to dismount the sight to change the battery, which is rated at 13,000 hours.

Steiner MPS on assorted pistols
We've been running a standard all-black Steiner MPS on several pistols including the FN 510 and Glock 21 Gen 5 MOS with lots of luck over the past several months. Waterproof and fogproof, it is crystal clear. It brings joy. (Photo: Chris Eger/Guns.com)

Steiner tells us the new FDE variant of the Steiner MPS will have an ask of $689, a price point likely to be less at retailers.
