Meet the 110 Magpul Scout: Savage's Take on the Scout Rifle Concept
With both left- and right-hand variants in three calibers and two colorways, the new Savage 110 Magpul Scout rifle offers something for just about everybody.
Borrowing from Col. Jeff Cooper's legendary circa 1984 Scout Rifle concept – which has already been done by Steyr and Ruger among others – and including Magpul's well-liked Hunter stock, Savage bases its Scout on the company's prolific 110 series bolt action. Across 12 different variants, all use the same 16.25-inch inch matte-black button-rifled barrel with muzzle brake and adjustable iron sights, a detachable AICS-style box magazine, user-adjustable AccuTrigger, and a full-length extended scout-style optics rail.
Savage contends this new Scout rifle is engineered to outperform in any environment – whether it's hunting, target shooting, or tactical applications.
"We’re thrilled to unveil this latest innovation of the Savage Arms lineup,” said Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing at Savage Arms. "The 110 Magpul Scout is designed to embody versatility and precision. It’s the firearm of choice for shooters that are looking for adaptability while maintaining top of the line accuracy and precision."
The MSRP for the new Savage 110 Magpul Scout rifle is $1,099 across all 12 variants. The company plans to start shipping these models sometime in the first half of 2024.
