Scope giant Leupold is listening to customers who asked for the return of the Mark 4 line so they can have a tactical-quality scope that doesn’t break the bank.

Mark 4 gets its name from its 4-to-1 zoom ratio, but these new Mark 4HD scopes have been completely redesigned. You will have five different models to choose from:

All of them have a zero stop and locking elevation turret. Some have zero stop and locking windage turret, and others have capped windage. They will be available in either Mil or MOA. Other options will include a push-button illumination and internal digital scope level. The entire line is designed and manufactured in the United States.

Basically, these are more affordable versions of Mark 5 scopes with a few less features for cost-cutting. I can’t think of another scope line that can match these specs and is made in the USA at this price point. I think this is going to be my new go-to rifle glass.

Judging from the pre-production Mark 4HD scopes, this line may turn out to be my go-to for riflescopes.
