Built to dominate precision rifle-based shooting sports events – or just offer a hyper-accurate rifle to those seeking one – the new CZ 600 MDT series turned heads at a recent international trade show.
Using a Modular Driven Technologies chassis and CZ's 600 Range series action with a 24-inch heavy profile cold-hammer-forged barrel and a redesigned steel receiver, we first caught up with the 600 MDT variant at SHOT Show earlier this year.
Offered in two models with either a Cerakote Grey or Burnt Bronze finish – with the latter also carrying MDT's fully adjustable SRS skeletonized stock and a three-chamber muzzle brake – we circled back around to revisit the rifle at the recent IWA Outdoor Classics show in Germany to get a closer look, then haunted CZ's facility in Czechia to get some range time.
Standard features across the CZ 600 MDT series, besides the MDT chassis and 24-inch heavy barrels, include adjustable single-stage triggers, AICS-compatible detachable magazines, M-LOK slots on both sides of the handguard with an ARCA Swiss interface on the bottom, and MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rails for optics.

Also standard is a five-shot 0.75 MOA accuracy guarantee with factory ammo. Caliber options include .308 Winchester and 6mm Creedmoor with 6.5mm CM inbound later this year.
The CZ 600 MDT Bronze uses MDT's SRS skeleton stock with a height-adjustable cheek piece and height- and axis-adjustable buttstock, an adjustable MDT Premier vertical pistol grip, and included muzzle brake.
Meanwhile, the CZ 600 MDT Grey has the MDT CCS stock with adjustable LOP via butt pad spacers and an adjustable cheek piece on an AR-15-style buffer tube, and an MDT Elite pistol grip.
A principal difference between the two CZ 600 MDT variants comes down to the stock system, with the Grey using an MDT CCS stock while the Bronze has the much more adjustable MDT SRS.
Pricing and availability hasn't been determined as of yet for the American market, but the models should be on shelves "soon."
