After quietly teasing their release for months, Ruger this week announced two Marlin lever gun models have been added to the catalog and are now shipping.

The guns, which had previously been part of the old "Remlin" lineup before Ruger acquired the brand, include the Marlin Dark Series Model 336 in .30-30 Winchester and a Model 1894 Stainless Big Loop chambered in .44 Rem Magnum.

The MSRP on the 336 Dark in .30-30 is $1,429 while the 1894 SBL in .44 Mag is $1,529.

Of note, the 336 Dark was a hit with fans back when it was in production, so it will surely be a welcome addition to Ruger's growing Marlin line.

We caught up with Pat RMG in a 2022 lever gun course put on by Chris Costa, and he told us why that model is his favorite rifle.
