Ruger  announced a practical and versatile new model of its popular PC Carbine this week, complete with the ability to swap its folding stock from left to right.

First debuted in 2017 – returning to the pistol caliber carbine space after a decade hiatus – Ruger has since grown its PC Carbine line to include over 25 variants. Beside the reversible folding stock with adjustable length of pull, the newest model features a CNC-milled, hard-coat anodized, aluminum handguard with Magpul M-LOK accessory attachment slots on all four sides, a 1/2x28 TPI threaded, fluted barrel and an interchangeable magazine well system. It also has a reversible magazine release and reversible charging handle, which is further welcome news for southpaws.

Like all PC Carbine models, it has interchangeable magazine wells for the use of common Ruger (SR-Series/Security-9) and ships with one 17-shot (or 10-shot) magazine. An additional mag well that accepts Glock (double stack G17/G19/G34/G45/G47/G49) magazines is also included.

The reversible folding stock design on the new PC Carbine retains the ability to accommodate both AR-pattern and Picatinny rail-mounted aftermarket accessory stocks. It has an adjustable length of pull from 11 to 13 inches. (Photos: Ruger)

Overall length – with the Carbine's heavy contour cold-hammer-forged, chrome-moly 16.12-inch barrel – is 33.75 inches. Weight is 7.3 pounds. Of note, the PC Carbine series uses 10/22 trigger components.

Note the factory-installed, barrel-mounted Picatinny rail both atop the receiver and on the handguard, allowing extended eye relief optics.

The MSRP on this newest Ruger PC Carbine is $999 and will be available in both standard capacity (Model 19140) and state-compliant (Model 19141) variants.
