Guns.com recently toured CZ's historic factory and managed to snag a short interview to talk shop with the company's CEO. 

In visiting Czechia, also known as the Czech Republic, we were struck by how accommodating and friendly a reception we received in Uhersky Brod, which has been home to CZ since 1936. From small beginnings, the company has grown and today, CZ's guns and products are distributed to more than 90 countries across the globe.

Jan Zajic, the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Ceska zbrojovka a.s., carved out some time to talk with us in the above interview.  

It could be said that Zajic was natural to steward CZ into the future.

A native of the Moravian town of Uherske Hradiste-- which is just 20 miles to the West of Uhersky Brod, where CZ has maintained its flagship factory since 1936-- Zajic grew up in the shadow of the storied gunmaker that he now leads. His background is in finance and production, with a degree from Mendel University in Brno, and a career spanning managerial positions in industrial companies both in the Czechia and abroad. After coming to CZ in 2019 as the company's Chief Financial Officer, Zajic became the Chairman of the Board and CEO in November 2020.
