The new Timber series from Savage Arms spans both autoloading and bolt-action models in .17 HMR, .22 LR, and .22 WMR.

Guns.com was on the ground at the 2024 NRA Annual Meetings in Dallas earlier this month and made sure to get with the fine folks at Savage about these interesting new rifles.

The new Timber series has three principal variants: the wood-stocked Timber Thumbhole; the laminate-stocked TimberLite, which saves weight via a carbon fiber-wrapped barrel; and the TimberLite Thumbhole, which blends the other two concepts.

In each variant, there are bolt-action (B-Series) in a variety of rimfire caliber options (.17 HMR, .22 LR, and .22 WMR) as well as semi-automatic (A-Series) guns in .22 LR.

The MSRP will be $499 for the bolt guns and $478 for the autoloader.

The TimberLite earns its name from its lighter laminate stock and carbon-fiber-wrapped stainless-steel barrel, hitting the scales at just 5.1 pounds. While they also have a user-adjustable AccuTrigger, its pull weight spans 1.5 to 4 pounds. It will be offered in a bolt gun in all three rimfire calibers for $989, while the .22 LR, seen here, has an ask of $1,030.
