New: Savage 110 Pro Pursuit Rifle with Proof Carbon Fiber Barrel
Savage Arms has teamed up with Mike Robinson of "Farming the Wild" to introduce a new 110 series bolt-action rifle crafted for those who spend time pursuing big game.
The new Savage 110 Pro Pursuit Rifle blends the tried and true 110 action with a lightweight stainless-steel receiver coated with Magpul OD Green Cerakote, with a 20-inch Proof Research carbon fiber-wrapped stainless-steel barrel. The whole thing is mounted in a lightweight Grayboe Phoenix 2 stock painted with earth-toned camo and black web that includes an M-LOK bottom rail on the forend.
Other features include a user-adjustable AccuTrigger, a low-profile AICS-style magazine frame, 20-MOA one-piece scope rail, a fluted bolt body with a threaded (5/16x24) bolt handle, QD cups, and an Omniport muzzle brake on 5/8x24 threading.
The Savage 110 PPR will be offered in nine popular hunting calibers, including .308 Win., 6.5 Creedmoor and 7mm PRC. A three-round AICS-style magazine is standard across all calibers.
The receiver includes a 20-MOA one-piece scope rail. Savage says the PPR features an upgraded bolt head with dual ejectors and an enhanced extractor. The fluted bolt body is clad in a Blackout Cerakote coating.
Note the earth-tone Grayboe Phoenix 2 stock that is adjustable for comb height and length of pull. It includes flush QD cup adapters for slings and a serious butt pad.
The 20-inch Proof Research barrel ends in 5/8x24 threading capped with an Omniport muzzle brake. The rifle is available in .308 Win, 6.5 CM, .300 WSM, 6.5 PRC, .270 Win, 28 Nosler, .30-06, .300 Win, and 7mm PRC.
"We are thrilled to partner with Mike Robinson on the development of the 110 PPR," said Beth Shimanski, Savage's Marketing director. "The heart of this rifle lies in its meticulous design tailored for the unique challenges of being in the field in pursuit of big game. Mike's vast hunting experience across Europe and around the world means he understands the lifestyle and needs better than most. His input on this rifle helped deliver an accurate, advanced package with premium components that will excel in realistic hunting conditions and also endure taxing days in the field."
The MSRP on the new Savage 110 PPR is $2,399, across all calibers.
