Hi-Point released three pistol versions of its popular carbines this week, offering more compact, higher capacity options for a range of applications from home defense to backpack carry. The 995P, 4595P, and 1095P are chambered in 9mm, .45 ACP, and 10mm, respectively, with a 13.25-inch or 14.25-inch barrel depending on the model.

Features

The company touts these handguns as rugged, reliable, and like all Hi-Points, made in the USA. They offer features like an upgraded HiViz fiber-optic front sight with a ghost ring rear, a rear Picatinny rail handy for adding a brace, QD sling attachment points, and an intuitive thumb mag release for faster reloads.

The back plate with Pic rail can also be removed and replaced with a buffer tube for mounting a folding, telescoping, or fixed brace.

995P

The popular Model 995 Carbine is now available in handgun size with a 13.25-inch barrel, ideal for those looking for a compact yet reliable 9mm. At just over 6 pounds, the 995P is perfect for carrying in a backpack. It uses the same magazines as the 995 Carbine, making it a practical choice for those who already own a Hi-Point or five, plus it’s compatible with the RedBall 20-round magazine for situations when more firepower is needed.

4595P

For those looking for a bit more stopping power, the 4595P delivers the same reliability and features as the 995P in a .45-caliber package. This pistol uses the same magazines as the Model 4595 Carbine as well as the JHP45 pistol, again making it convenient for existing Hi-Point owners.

Like the 995P, the 4595P is compatible with the extended RedBall 20-round magazine. The 4595P wears a 14.25-inch barrel and tips the scales at 6.5 pounds.

1095P

The 10mm model uses the same magazines as the Model 4595 Carbine and the JHP45 pistol (and thus the 4595P) but is not compatible with the Redball 20-round magazine.

A Hi-Point news release also teased kit options with Crimson Trace optics, so look for those to be available soon. All models are backed by Hi-Point’s lifetime warranty.
