Century Arms has added an interesting page to its catalog as part of its well-liked Romanian-made Draco pistol line complete with a Strike Industries folding brace.
While Century has long been marketing the Draco large format AK-style pistol in several different flavors, including dressed in standard wood furniture and synthetic as well with braces in standard (10.5-inch barrel) and Mini (7.75-inch) lengths, the new Draco Tactical is a bit different. Running a bulged and forged 1.5mm trunnion with a 7.5-inch chrome-lined chrome moly barrel, the Draco Tactical has a U.S. Palm M-LOK free-float handguard with a top Picatinny rail, as well as U.S. Palm's Enhanced grip.
Chambered in 7.62x39, it accepts standard AK-pattern mags and ships with a Strike Industries bi-folding brace and a linear compensator.
The overall length of the Draco Tactical is 27.5 inches, while weight is 6.9 pounds. (Photos: Century)
Other standard features include an enhanced safety bolt hold-open, an integrated rear sight in the Pic rail, and Century's RAK-1 trigger.
The Draco Tactical is "bag ready" so to speak.
The Draco Tactical is inbound to retailers, ships with a single U.S. Palm 30-round mag, and has an MSRP of $1,049.99, which is within a couple of dollars of the recommended ask on the more vanilla wood-stocked models.
