The Panzer Arms PA37 is a pump-action shotgun designed after the Ithaca Model 37. Its cult-like following has made the Model 37 expensive and often difficult to source, but now you can get a great, quality clone in the PA37.

The Design

The Ithaca Model 37 was a revolutionary design introduced by none other than John Moses Browning. The design was unique, as the patented action acts as both the loading and ejection gate. This innovation made it easier to shoot from either hand, as the ejection pattern drops the shells directly down before loading the new shell after a pump.

The Panzer Arms PA37 is a faithful reproduction of that innovative action. The shotgun is chambered for 12 gauge, with a 3-inch chamber. The 18.5-inch barrel is threaded for chokes, and each shotgun includes a full, modified, and cylinder set of chokes with a choke key.

The PA37 comes in two color variants: a nickel finish with black wood furniture and a blued with a natural walnut stock. Each model has a full stock installed and includes a pistol grip. There’s a heat shield over the barrel as well as a fixed front sight. The trigger features a pump release on the front of the trigger guard, with a push-through safety at the rear of the trigger guard.

This shotgun offers a classic ambidextrous design at an affordable price. Panzer Arms makes all its firearms in Turkey and has been importing shotguns for many years.

Summary

Everyone needs a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun. Why not get one that stems from an iconic John Moses Browning design? This is perfect for left and right-handed shooters, as well as those who like to shoot offhand. The best part is the affordability that Panzer Arms offers.

It’s great to find a good deal and save some money. The best thing you can do is use the savings for things like ammo and training. Remember, what matters most is how often you train. So dry fire, grab some ammo, hit the range, and master the craft.
