The “eccentric” label given to the S98 refers to the suppressor’s unique shape. SilencerCo ensured the bore of its new suppressor sits below the shooter’s line of sight and eliminates the need for raised iron sights.
It’s extremely lightweight at only 7 ounces and comes in at a mere 5.54 inches long. That makes it the shortest and lightest polygonal-shaped suppressor in its class.
The fully welded design almost totally eliminates that first-round “pop” noise that comes with many other suppressors. Even better, the S98 comes with a new quick-detach mounting system that makes timing the suppressor as easy as pressing a button.
SilencerCo’s newest suppressor offering ships with a 1/2x28 QD mount (AC22 not compatible) and can be had for an MSRP of $1,269. It comes with an anodized finish for weather and wear resistance that also gives it a raw, minimalist look.
