Jacob Grey has quickly become a respected name in the double-stack 1911 game by producing high-end, American-made, mid-price-point 2011s. At SHOT Show 2025, the company introduced its new TWC Hex pistol, an upgraded version of the standard TWC wide-body 1911.

Like all the TWC guns, it still has a 416R stainless-steel 4.25-inch barrel, but the Hex comes with a ported barrel and slide to reduce muzzle flip and allow for faster follow-up shots. The Hex also sports a brand-new textured grip pattern that improves on the already good grip of the standard TWC and comes in three colorways: OD green with rose gold barrel, black with black nitride barrel, and FDE with black nitride barrel.

The flared magwell and high undercut are also a nice touch.

All the other features are the same as on the TWC. The frame is CNC-cut aluminum. There is a flat metal trigger, flared magwell, integrated optics plates, and suppressor-height sights. Overall weight is 30 ounces, and the pistol comes with two 17-round magazines.

The slide-to-frame fit is outstanding, and the trigger pull is excellent. MSRP is set at $3,499, but this gun is built and feels like something in the next pricing tier.

If this guns shoots as good as it looks and this trigger feels then we're all in for a treat.
