Arsenal Unveils ‘New’ AK-20, Trump MAGA AK-47, RPK Rifles for 2025
Arsenal has been a respected manufacturer of quality AK rifles since the 1950s. Until recently, it was one of the few American-stationed AK manufacturers that you could trust for good craftsmanship.
We swung by the Arsenal booth at SHOT Show 2025 to see what this legacy AK maker had in the works for 2025.
Meet the ‘New’ AK-20
Now, for some, the AK-20 is not necessarily a new product. It was released at SHOT Show a few years back. However, the fact that it is now available on the domestic consumer market instead of only to the military and police makes it a brand-new AK to you and me.
It might have an AK's classic controls, but the AK-20 comes in a much shorter overall length thanks to the gun's 8.5-inch barrel. (Photo: Alexander Reville/Guns.com)
The AK-20 is chambered for 7.62x39mm and features an 8.5-inch barrel. The design retains the traditional AK-type controls while also adding a Magpul M-LOK handguard and a free-floated rail over the top cover, allowing for secure attachment of optics. The gas system is adjustable for better suppressor optimization.
This AK-20 is designed to bring a modern touch to a classic platform.

Arsenal also released a new folding skeleton stock for AK platforms. This is a departure from the traditional underfolding design and offers a better cheek weld. Additionally, this skeleton design helps cut weight from the platform.
Arsenal AK-47 MAGA Edition
One of the most eye-catching items at SHOT Show was the Arsenal Trump-inspired MAGA AK-47. This rifle is a commemorative piece to celebrate the newly elected President Donald J. Trump as the 47th president of the United States of America.

Donald Trump Jr. is a good friend of the Arsenal company and works with his father to fight for our Second Amendment rights. So, to honor that effort, Arsenal produced a custom one-of-a-kind AK – complete with real gold, silver, and diamond inlay – to commemorate the effort of the Trump family to fight for the rights of the people to keep and bear arms.
The rifle also features a Lady Liberty gold coin pressed into the receiver.
Arsenal RPK

The Arsenal RPK is unique because Arsenal was one of the last companies to receive shipments of authentic Molot RPKs from Russia prior to the import ban. This means that Arsenal is one of the few companies still manufacturing authentic RPKs.
While Arsenal is not new to the AK game, it continues to be one of the top manufacturers in both quality and innovation year after year.
