Franklin Armory Shows off SCAR & 10/22 Binary Triggers, New Guns
Nevada's Franklin Armory came to SHOT Show with a truckload of cool things including three new binary triggers, an Osprey piston-driven AR, and the F22 line of pistols and rifles.
SCAR, 10/22, and AR-Essential binary triggers
The new SKR-C1 is Franklin Armory’s first three-position selectable binary trigger pack for the popular FN SCAR platforms.
Company reps told us that across social media engagements and customer surveys, the SCAR consistently ranked among the most requested platforms for a binary trigger design. (Photos & Videos: Ben Philippi/Guns.com)
It proved fun on the range for sure.
The MSRP for the new SKR-C1 binary trigger for the SCAR is $499, and Franklin anticipates shipping will begin before the end of the first quarter of 2025.
Designed for the Ruger 10/22 platform, Franklin Armory's new 22-EZ Binary trigger features the company’s patented pull-and-release semiautomatic trigger technology, assembled in a drop-in ready polymer housing for super easy installation.
Two pins out, swap, two pins in, and you are good to go. Note the trigger-guard mounted binary switch.
Franklin Armory anticipates shipping the 22-EZ in Q1 of this year with an MSRP of $369.

Finally, the new AR-Essential binary trigger is priced to be a more affordable option to Franklin’s $429 AR-Elite trigger, priced at a more entry-level $299.
While the AR-Elite features interchangeable straight and curved trigger bows and includes additional buffer, trigger, and hammer springs for fine-tuning, the AR-Essential is more basic. It features a mil-spec style, single-sided safety selector paddle for a more traditional user experience.
Osprey Defense OPS-16R
Featuring the same slimline M-LOK handguard from Franklin's F17 line of gas-piston driven rimfire rifles and Triumvir muzzle device, the 5.56 NATO chambered OPS-16R in the company's Osprey line comes standard with a B5 grip and SOPMOD adjustable stock in rifle format or brace as a large format pistol.
The MSRP on the OPS-16R is $1,349 with a traditional trigger and $1,539 with a BFSIII binary pack installed.
F22 series pistols and rifles
Franklin has a new – and limited – run of F22 platform guns headed to market in 2025. Featuring machined receivers made from 7075 aluminum, an enhanced firing pin system for better ignition, and a 10/22 format design, the F22s will ship standard with installed binary triggers.
The Franklin Armory F22 rifle includes a 16-inch fluted bull barrel, Hogue stock, integrated top rail for optics, and a 10-round Ruger magazine.
The Franklin Armory F22 pistol includes an 8-inch tapered barrel, SB22 fixed kit chassis, B5 grip, SB Tactical FS1913 pistol brace, optics top rail, and a 10-round mag.
MSRP for the F22 Rifle is $809 while the F22 Pistol is $1,089.
