With the AR-15 being one of the most dominant platforms on the market, it’s always good to find a solid deal on one. Radical Firearms has been making waves the past few years with several affordable variants of the RF-15. We have a shipment of two Radical RF-15 models that you should check out if you’re thinking about adding another – or a first! – AR to your collection.

Meet the RF-15

The Radical Firearms RF-15 features a 16-inch barrel, a mid-length gas system, and a free-float M-LOK rail. The barrel is a standard profile with an A2-style flash hider. The mid-length gas system is a great pairing for a 16-inch barrel. It offers a lighter recoil impulse, a smoother cycle, and prevents over-travel of the bullet. Over time, carbine-length gas systems are harsher on the receiver with a 16-inch barrel.

These rifles use standard AR controls that are not ambidextrous. RF-15s feed from AR-pattern magazines and feature a full-length top rail for mounting sights, optics, pressure pads, or any other accessories that the user needs.

B5 Systems grip and stock
...and furniture from B5 Systems.

Radical Firearms pairs B5 Systems furniture with its rifles – a fantastic move considering B5 has some of the best furniture on the market. The pistol grip is at a more natural angle for the wrist and is void of the pointless ledge for the middle finger. The B5 stock is adjustable, with QD sling cups and a wide cheek weld like that of a SOPMOD stock.

Variants

Guns.com currently has a big batch of two different Radical Firearms rifles. The first is the standard RF-15 with FDE furniture. This model features a free-float M-LOK rail with FDE rubber M-LOK grip inserts and includes one 30-round steel magazine.

There's also a sharp-looking FDE version of the rifle.

The other rifle is the RF-15 SOCOM RPR, which features the Radical Parallelogram Rail. This new rail design is thin and sports M-LOK slots on both sides and the bottom. While the furniture is black to match the finish, it is still B5 Systems. This rifle also includes one steel 30-round magazine.

Summary

If you can find a good deal and save some money on a solid firearm, you’ll be able to invest in more ammo for training. It doesn’t matter if you have the most expensive AR on the market, or the cheapest: if you don’t train, the rifle will never achieve its capabilities. So dry fire, grab some ammo, hit the range, and master the craft.
