Florida-based KelTec has a solid offering for avid fans of the centimeter in the form of a 10mm SUB2000 that takes Glock magazines.

The company has been making the blowback action SUB2000 for a quarter century, and the handy folding carbine has evolved across three generations since then. Formerly available in 9mm and .40 S&W, the Gen 3 guns are just made in 9mm and 5.7 – the latter of which we have a full review of this week.

Now, with .40 in the rearview, KelTec says a 10mm replacement is on the way. It's a caliber option long asked for by fans of the carbine.

With an overall deployed length of 29.2 inches, it compacts down to just 16.15 inches overall, the latter figure being the same length as the barrel. Standard features include top and bottom Pic rails for optics and accessories, along with M-LOK slots on the handguard. Importantly, Gen 3 models allow for barrel rotation while folding, which preserves optics orientation.

"The wait is over," said the company this week. "Our most powerful pistol-caliber carbine yet. Chambered in 10mm Auto and built on the Gen 3 platform, it features a rotating forend that lets you keep your optics mounted while folding the rifle in half for compact carry. Compatible with Glock 20 magazines, packed with modular M-LOK real estate, and delivering serious ballistic performance from its 16.25-inch barrel. This PCC is ready for whatever mission you throw at it."

Slated as "shipping this summer," the MSRP on the new KelTec Gen 3 SUB2000 in 10mm is listed as $599 in its black finish standard model. Of note, this is about $90 more than models in other calibers.
