Magpul Launches Full, Subcompact Grip Modules for Ruger RXM
Magpul continues to build out the impressive array of Enhanced Handgun Grip modules for the joint Ruger-Magpul RXM pistol.
Launched late last year, the RXM uses a Ruger-made stainless steel serialized Fire Control Insert system inside a polymer grip made by Magpul. In its standard format, the RXM is an enhanced take on the Gen 3 Glock 19, down to the 15-shot flush-fit magazine, most internals, slide, recoil assembly, and barrel. We've even swapped out G19 slides to run on the RXM and vice versa.

Now the polymer princes of the gun industry have doubled down on the promise of the RXM's modularity by announcing full-size and subcompact variants of the EHG, with each planned in the four-color format as in the standard model.
The full-sized Magpul EHG for the RXM is akin to the G45 or G19X in size (7.26” L x 1.39” W x 4.24” H) and allows for a more duty or competition pistol with a grip compatible with flush-fit G17/G19X/G45 17-shot magazines. (Photos: Magpul)
Meanwhile, the subcompact Magpul EHG for the RXM emulates the size of the G26 9mm "Baby Glock" (7.05” L x 1.20” W x 3.18” H) and accepts 12-round mags. The effect is to create a pistol in the fabled "1926" or G26L format with a G19-length slide and a stubby G26-sized grip.
Both sizes will run just $39 and include the assorted small parts (magazine release, release spring, slide-lock spring, and takedown-pin spring) so that the owner of a standard RXM just needs to drop in their serialized Fire Control Insert and attach the slide assembly to be ready to go.
Therefore, one could just grab a standard 15-shot RXM (MSRP $499) and add one each of the full-sized and subcompact EHGs from Magpul ($39 x 2), plus a couple of mags for each extra grip size ($15 x 2 x 2), and for less than $650 (even at full retail price), have essentially three differently sized pistols.
Magpul plans to have the new EHG sizes out shortly, and naturally, we'll let you know how they work.
