Taurus this week announced that the beefy six-shot Raging Judge multi-caliber revolver is coming back into limited production.

Taurus originally introduced the Raging Judge in 2010 as a beefed-up follow-on to the .410 Bore/.45 Colt Judge series but discontinued production in 2019 in favor of the Raging Bull line, which debuted the same year.

The chief difference in the larger Raging Judge over the standard Judge is its ability to support the stout .454 Casull cartridge, which allowed bullets of up to 400 grains and could deliver as much as 1,900 foot-pounds on target, which is almost twice as much energy as even the spiciest .45 Colt +P factory loads.

And now, the 61-ounce, all-stainless-steel RJ is back after more than half a decade, sporting a 10.2-inch overall length with its 3-inch barrel.

The six-shot DA/SA wheel gun includes a fiber-optic front sight and fixed rear as well as a rubber grip with a cushioned insert.
Note the full-lug shrouded barrel and a three-screw frame. It is double-action/single-action with a transfer bar safety.

"The Raging Judge combines power, versatility, and a proven design trusted by outdoors enthusiasts and serious shooters," notes Taurus.

The Taurus Raging Judge has an extremely specific advertised MSRP of $1,167.75 at the time of publication. As President Trump is promising a 50-percent tariff on imports from Brazil over that country's treatment of former president Jair Bolsonaro, that price could be dynamic.
