Something about .45 ACP just screams “America!” The Guns.com warehouse recently received a slew of .45 ACP handguns from different law enforcement trade-ins, which doesn't happen often. There are many LE trade-in handguns on the market, but few are chambered in .45 ACP.

Law enforcement trade-in handguns make for great deals. Most of these handguns have been shot minimally, so most of the wear is cosmetic. Thus, you can get a firearm with a lot of life left in it for a great price.

SIG Sauer P220

The SIG Sauer P200 series of handguns set a standard for hammer-fired double/single-action handguns. The single-stack .45 ACP P220 feels like an improved version of the 1911. With an eight-round capacity, Hogue grips that contour to your hand, and an easy-to-use de-cocker, this model has all the feel of a modern handgun while still rocking that legacy .45 ACP cartridge.

The smooth, heavy double-action trigger acts as the safety, followed by a light, crisp single-action pull. The handgun is easy to hold and control for quick and easy follow-up shots. Controls are easy to reach, with a slide stop and de-cocker that can be manipulated without breaking your grip.

These LE trade-in P220s are in great shape and show only light holster wear.

These LE trade-in P220s are in amazing condition and show light signs of wear. They still have most of their finish, and the holster marks seem to be minimal.

Smith & Wesson M&P45

Smith & Wesson's Military & Police line is one of the oldest and longest continuous production firearm lines in the history of the United States. Modern M&P handguns are trusted by law enforcement agencies across the United States.

S&W M&P45
This batch of LE trade-in S&W M&P45s does not have safeties.

The Smith & Wesson M&P45 is a double-stack, striker-fired handgun chambered for .45 ACP. It has a 10-round capacity and feeds from steel magazines. One unique thing about the M&P line is that Smith & Wesson offers each design with or without a safety. These LE trade-ins do not include safeties, but they do have night sights, a tac rail, and a system of backstraps that can change the thickness of the grip.

The M&P45 comes with interchangeable backstraps for customizing the grip, night sights, and a lower rail for mounting a light or laser.

The M&P45 is a joy to shoot, offering more of that All-American caliber in each magazine than many other .45 designs. These LE trade-ins show minimal holster wear, and most of the finish remains intact. For trade-ins, these handguns are in outstanding shape.

Glock 21 Gen4

You’ll find a plethora of Glock 17, 19, 22, and 23 handguns on the LE trade-in market, but Glock 21s are a bit rarer. The Glock 21 Gen4 is a double-stack, striker-fired, .45 ACP handgun that feeds from a standard 13-round capacity. The Gen4 pattern is known for its finger grooves, large magazine release, and aggressive grip texturing.

These handguns are also in excellent condition and barely show any wear on the finish.

This set of LE trade-ins is also in amazing shape, with minimal holster wear. Each handgun features three-dot night sights, although the tritium is burned out. The Gen4 grip and texturing make it easy to get comfortable shots on target with quick follow-up shots. With a 13-round capacity, this handgun is one of the higher-capacity options in the world of .45 ACP.

Glock 21 Gen4
And with the Gen4 Glock design, you get the finger grooves on the grip to help control the recoil of the mighty .45.

Believe it or not, the Glock 21 was one of my first concealed carry handguns. It holds a special place in my heart. With lots of capacity of that big .45-caliber round, the Glock 21 is one of the best modern .45 ACP options on the market.
