Law enforcement trade-in handguns served those who serve our communities and now offer a great deal for those looking for a reliable, inexpensive firearm. Many law enforcement trade-in handguns are chambered in calibers being replaced by 9mm, but today we have a pair of Glocks chambered in 9mm, the caliber for most current law enforcement duty handguns.

Glock 43

The Glock 43 is one of the most unique law enforcement trade-in handguns, as it is rare for departments to issue sub-compact designs. Likely issued to undercover units, detectives, or as a backup to an officer's primary sidearm, the Glock 43 is an extremely concealable option.

In recent years, the Glock 43X has outsold the 43, but the capabilities of the G43 shouldn’t be discounted. With a 6+1 capacity, this handgun can easily fit in your pocket. The single-stack grip and magazine make it extremely thin and a fraction of the size of Glock’s 17 and 19 models. While small, there is a finger extension on the magazine for more surface area, making it easy to get a secure grip while shooting.

These sub-compact models aren't often seen as police trade-ins, so this is a rare find.

These Glocks are in amazing condition and show little to no signs of wear. They are great deep concealment handguns that leave little to no footprint.

Glock 19 Gen4

The Glock 19 has stood as one of the best-selling handguns in the United States. While it is technically a compact handgun, it is the perfect size to bridge the gap between open and concealed carry. The Glock 19 is popular with law enforcement agencies across the United States, along with several military units, including SOCOM.

This LE trade-in Glock 19 Gen4 is marked "Asheville Police" along with the department's badges.

These LE trade-in Glock 19 Gen4s feature night sights and have a 15-round capacity. The fourth-generation Glocks are known for their larger magazine release, aggressive grip texture, and finger grooves on the grip. These handguns are in amazing condition with only light signs of wear. Most of the finish is intact, and the Asheville, North Carolina, police department badge is engraved on the slide.

The Gen4 finger grooves and aggressive grip texture make this Glock 19 easy to control.

The Glock 19 is one of my favorite handguns to shoot, with easy-to-handle recoil, aggressive grip texture, and unmatched reliability. It’s ideal for anyone looking for a handgun that maximizes capacity while being small enough to carry.

Summary

Glocks are arguably the most reliable and consistent handguns on the market. The Glock reputation is backed by decades of experience, and millions of folks trust their lives to Glock. As the most common and readily available handgun cartridge on the market, everyone should have a 9mm Glock.
