Budget-minded Retay has a new AR-like pistol that’s plinking-ready with its RA1522 Pistol. Introduced on the eve of SHOT Show 2026, this compact rimfire chambered for .22 LR is meant for recreational shooting, tactical training, and backpack carry.
Offering a short overall length of just 16 inches, the RA1522 Pistol uses a simple and reliable blowback operating system. The polymer frame hosts an aluminum M-LOK forend.
The unloaded weight comes to just 3.25 pounds, making this a wieldy platform for close-quarters work and convenient storage. Magazine capacities come in 10- and 25-round options, and the .22 LR chambering makes recoil extremely low for high-volume shooting days.

This little pistol is range-ready with an available brace and included flip-up sights. It can also be had in rifle-length configurations with stocks.
MSRP on the RA1522 is set at $359, and the gun comes covered under the company’s lifetime limited warranty.
