We visited with the curator of the recently renovated Cody Firearms Museum within the past year and spoke with him about being a caretaker of gun history.
Guns.com is headed to SHOT Show '26 and wanted to clean out the old content closet from SHOT '25, highlighting some non-product-related videos that just didn't get enough eyes at the time.
This short 10-minute interview with Danny Michael, who serves as the Robert W. Woodruff Curator of the Cody Firearms Museum at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Wyoming, is great. I mean, they have 4,200 firearms on display and are the beating heart for the Winchester Archives.
They have the serial number records on something like 15 million guns, a gun library, and all sorts of amazing one-of-a-kind pieces, such as the real Burton Machine Rifle of "Battlefield I" fame.
We love the Cody and the crew there. Hopefully, we will have the chance to visit there soon for a longer tour.
