The man with one of the most appropriate names in the business, Buck Steele, showed us some of the best suppressors in the business at the Anechoic booth during SHOT Show. Plus, the company is branching out to design more than just cans, and we have the details.

PipSqueak

The magenta and gold cans we saw at the show are custom jobs, but you can customize your own Anechoic suppressor with the raw titanium options the company offers. (Photos: Seth Rodgers/Guns.com)

Anechoic has a tiny rimfire suppressor that might be the smallest can on the market, weighing in at just 1.5 ounces. The little brother to the popular AnechoX 22, the PipSqueak is rated for .22 Mag and .17 HMR as well as .22 LR; plus, it’s full-auto rated for 50 rounds of .22 LR. We can attest it feels like nothing is there when mounted on a lightweight .22 pistol.

Ultralight Rifle

With this new offering, Anechoic is no longer merely a manufacturer of fine suppressors. The company is partnering with the Remington Custom Shop on a new ultralight titanium and carbon rifle.  The .357 Magnum model weighs just 4.5 pounds, and paired with a titanium Anechoic suppressor, it’s a super-light package that will appeal to backcountry hunters.

Anechoic is partnering with the Remington Custom Shop on its first firearm, an ultralight hunting rifle.

As Steele put it: “You take that rifle that’s always been an 8-10 pound rifle with a 1 or 2-pound can on it, it’s not your friend after a mile or two.”

You won’t have that problem with this new rifle. It’s already Steele’s new favorite hunting gun, and he’s sure it will be yours, too, so keep an eye out for these to start popping up on Guns.com.
