The ammunition arm of the American Legend brand has been busy. Not only does 2026 mark Winchester Ammunition's 160th birthday, but it’s also a year for multiple new additions. This year is also noteworthy as our country’s 250th anniversary, another reason for excitement and plenty of special-edition ammo.

Winchester salutes 250 years of the American blue-collar worker with numerous limited-edition packaging and ammunition offerings. Unique artwork on each box pays homage to trades including: farmer, police, firefighter, welder, factory worker, rancher, lineman, and excavator. The special packaging is planned for 13 different loads across various ammunition types from rimfire to shotshell, handgun, and rifle.

60th Anniversary of AA

Since 1965, Winchester’s AA shotshell has been a top choice for sport and competitive shooters alike. The target loads are now being celebrated with limited-edition commemorative packaging, which represents those early boxes of shotshells.

There will be three choices: Light Target, Super Handicap Heavy Target, and Super Sport Target, all 2.75-inch, 12-gauge loads. They’re sold in 25-round boxes and will be available for a limited time.

Supreme Long Range

Here’s a completely new line of centerfire rifle ammo for the serious hunter. Supreme Long Range is advertised as “precision rifle perfected” and is geared toward those hunting game “at even the most extreme of ranges.”

The loads use BC Max bullet technology, which means precision-drawn, thick-walled jackets for long-range performance and match-grade accuracy. The heavy-for-caliber projectiles use a boat-tail profile, heat-resistant tip, and high ballistic coefficients. Five loads were shown as part of the debut: 6.5 Creed, 6.5 PRC, .30-06, .300 WSM, and .300 Win Mag.

Last Call & Last Call Double Shot

Dedicated waterfowl ammunition using hard-hitting specialty shots? We’re interested. Winchester’s Last Call is a tungsten super shot load that sells in 10-round boxes.

Last Call Double Shot, a related load, pairs TSS with half-sized steel shot for a more affordable access to the specialty space. Those sell in 25-round boxes. Last Call catalogs seven new offerings including 410, 28, 20, and 12-gauge, while Last Call Double Shot offers five, with one 20-gauge and four 12-gauge selections.

Long Beard TSS

Turkey hunters will be familiar with the Long Beard line of gobbler-specific ammunition, but the new Long Beard TSS offers a serious upgrade in knockdown power, range, and overall performance. Tungsten super shot is all the rage for those willing to pony up the money.

Long Beard TSS is launching with eight selections, including: 12, 20, and 28 gauges, and .410 bore. Of particular note is Winchester’s inclusion of both a standard 2.75-inch and a 3-inch 28-gauge. Long Beard TSS is loaded with either #8 or #9 shot and comes five rounds to a box.

Ammo by the Jug

Interest in bulk ammunition at reasonable prices continues, and Winchester is jumping into the rimfire category for 2026. The company’s proven Wildcat .22 LR rounds will now be available in 1,500-round plastic jugs.

With a carry handle, resealable design, and easy-pour lid, these jugs should be handy for the range, easy transportation, and storage. The rounds are dressed with a 40-grain Copper Plate Dynapoint bullet. MSRP is set at $98.82.

American Lever Range

Lever-action firearms continue booming at an unprecedented rate in modern times, and more ammunition manufacturers are working to keep pace with feeding these guns. Winchester just announced an extensive line of lever-gun specific ammunition with American Lever Range.

The loads will use bullet profiles tailored for consistent feeding and fast cycling through levered actions. Modern propellants aim to reduce both barrel and action fouling. The American Lever Range family is launching with five chamberings:

  • .30-30 Win / 150-gr Open Tip / 20 rounds
  • .45-70 Gov’t / 300-gr JHP / 20 rounds
  • .357 Mag / 158-gr JSP / 50 rounds
  • .44 Rem Mag / 240-gr JSP / 50 rounds
  • .45 Colt / 250-gr Lead / 50 rounds

The rounds are packed in neatly branded red-trimmed, vertical boxes with Winchester’s classic horse-and-rider Western artwork theme.
