Springfield Armory Brings 10-8 Performance Master Class 1911, Blued SA-35 to SHOT
A top-shelf Hilton Yam collaboration and a classic Hi-Power clone were the highlights of the Springfield Armory booth in Las Vegas last week.
10-8 Performance Master Class 1911
Developed with the help of 10-8 Performance founder and legendary former FBI Special Agent Hilton Yam, the newest 1911 platform in Springer's catalog is refined with the lessons of decades of "on the job" experience. The pistols are made with hand-selected, forged carbon-steel frames and slides.

These include a reverse recoil spring plug, extended magazine catch, flat trigger, specialized slide stop, and 10-8 grips in G-10 by VZ Grips. Each gun uses the Agency Optic System, which offers a series of plates to fit a wide variety of popular optics. That includes RMR, Shield, DeltaPoint Pro, and Docter footprints.
How about that barrel profile?
MSRP for both the .45 ACP and 9mm 10-8 pistols is set at $2,099.
Polish Blued SA-35
We were one of the first outlets to break the story of the SA-35, Springfield's ode to the classic Browning Hi-Power, when it came out a few years back. While the matte black finish is nice, this new polished blued model is sweet and looks more akin to the C-series guns from the 1960s, which are, in our opinion, the nicest BHPs.
The polished blue SA-25 undergoes a specialized polishing process prior to it receiving its hot salt bluing treatment. The result is a pistol featuring a finish that hearkens back to the early eras of this classic design.
It still sports all the understated updates that Springfield brought to the series, including a beveled magwell, a re-contoured hammer that eliminates "slide bite," a modern sight configuration, an extended thumb safety, and flush-fit 15+1 round steel magazines.
Best yet, the polished blue SA-35 hits the same price point ($799 for 2026) as the matte black version.
