IWI’s Goes Full Boomstick with Shorty Mafteah Shotguns, Updates Handgun Lines
IWI has always been known for innovative firearm designs, and it rolled into SHOT Show 2026 with some interesting updates to its existing gun lines. Even better, the company unveiled a brand-new metal frame for the IWI Masada 9S, which was already killing the single-stack 9mm competition. But the real gem has to be the new, extra-short Mafteah shotgun platforms.
Here’s a quick rundown of some of the highlights from IWI this year.

IWI’s CZ 75-inspired Jericho pistols have been on the market for a while, but the updated Jericho F9 ORP comes optics-ready for those looking to run a dot. The gun comes with various plates, including options for RMR and DeltaPoint Pro footprints.
The gun also offers co-witness-height CZ 75 sights. IWI additionally added angled slide serrations to the front of the slide. Controls are ambidextrous, and the grip has been redesigned with more aggressive front and rear texturing.
For those who love to tinker with their gun’s looks, the Jericho F9 ORP’s grip scales are compatible with the CZ 75, which opens a lot of grip options already on the market.
IWI Masada 9S Metal Frame

The IWI Masada 9S was already successful for IWI, but the company still chose to enhance the platform for fans of all-metal frames. The gun has a modular design that allows for the removal of the fire control unit.
That made it extra seamless to create a metal frame that customers can get OEM from the factory or buy separately to upgrade their existing guns.
New IWI Mafteah Shotguns

Hosting a plethora of M-LOK slots, the semi-auto 12-gauge IWI Mafteah offers a generous 5+1 capacity with 2.75-inch shells and boasts a 3-inch chamber. The Mafteah can be had as either a pistol-grip format or a compact tactical option with a stock.
Barrel lengths are only offered in 14 inches for now, whether the gun hosts a stock or not. The short-barreled shotgun option is increasingly common these days, especially with the $0 NFA tax now in effect for SBS firearms. Otherwise, the pistol-grip version requires no paperwork, since it falls outside the short-barreled shotgun category.
Along with a 3-inch chamber and an elongated bolt handle, the Mafteah sports a lot of M-LOK slots for slings and other accessories. (Photo: Seth Rodgers/Guns.com)
