If there is a classic firearm design you’ve been itching to own but don’t have the cash, Girsan has spent the last several years releasing budget-friendly clones of many of the top gun models.

Exclusively imported by EAA Corp with an eye toward affordability, we’ve tested nearly 20 different Girsan models over the last few years. These high-value, low-cost options can get you behind a number of new or iconic gun designs on a dime.

Here are five of our favorites, with detailed reviews to go with them.

Girsan Regard MC X

Affordable and very reliable from our testing, the 9mm Girsan Regard MC X is a faithful Beretta 92/M9 clone at a fraction of the price. EAA has been importing the Girsan Regard MCs for years, but the Regard MC X model includes a suppressor-ready, fluted barrel.

We ran 500 rounds through our test gun, and it cycled everything we put into it. We also ran a suppressor on this MC X, and it proved to be a great platform for a quiet can as well.

Girsan MC P35 OPS

For those looking to go even more classic than the Beretta 92, Girsan’s MC P35 OPS is an affordable and reliable Hi-Power clone of John Moses Browning fame. Coming to the market nearly 100 years after Browning’s death, the MC P35 OPS has several enhanced features that include ambi elongated safeties, a flat-faced trigger, adjustable sights, a Picatinny rail, an elongated beavertail, and well-textured grips.

The gun was plenty reliable and accurate during our testing in desert conditions, and the price point puts it far below even most well-used Hi-Powers on the market today.

This full-size, striker-fired gun sports a two-stage trigger, optics-ready slide, interchangeable grips, and proved to be reliable for us on the range.

The suppressor-ready barrel makes this an affordable gun for quiet shooting. It’s also a good-looking firearm in gunmetal gray.

Girsan Witness 2311 S Match X

With the quickly rising popularity of double-stack 2311s, we had to include the competition-ready Girsan Witness 2311 S Match X. This X model has loads of bells and whistles, including a fiber-optic front sight, adjustable rear sight, ambi thumb safeties, and an elongated beavertail. It’s also ported with an integral compensator.

We ran this gun against the original Witness 2311, and the nice iron sights and light trigger pull make it an accurate shooter. We’ve put more than 2,000 rounds through this Girsan platform, and the guns are just plain reliable shooters, from our experience.

Girsan MC 14T Lady Tip-Up

One of the unique stand-out guns from Girsan is the handy tip-up .380 ACP Girsan MC 14T. The tip-up design makes loading and unloading easy without the need to rack the slide. However, the MC 14T Lady Tip-Up boasts a ton of other great qualities, including fine looks backed by low felt recoil, accuracy, elongated ambi safeties, and a DA/SA trigger.

The .380 chambering helps keep this a low-recoiling gun. Our range testing also proved it could chew out the center of a target between 3 and 10 yards.

Bonus: EAA Bounty Hunter SAA Revolver

While not a Girsan gun, this EAA-imported Bounty Hunter Single Action Army revolver is a classic that breaks the mold for those looking to go back to a simpler time before semi-auto pistols reigned. Reliable, well-made, and accurate, the Bounty Hunter line screams Old West, but the price is far less than traditional SAA revolvers.

We tested a model in .45 Long Colt, and it performed admirably on the range for an affordable single-action-only SAA clone. You can expect to pay several times as much for a true Colt Single Action Army, making this an affordable itch-scratcher for your inner cowboy.
