We recently came across a small collection of never-issued LEO trade-in Smith & Wesson M&P45 M2.0 handguns  that offer a fine value. Complete with tritium night sights, these .45 ACP pistols were not only trusted by some of Massachusetts’ finest but even bear the official markings to prove it.

“Mass. State Police” is prominently displayed on the side of the slide, and the Massachusetts’ State Police logo adorns the top just in front of the rear sights. When we say these guns are limited in quantity, we do mean very limited. In fact, quite a few have already left our warehouse, and they will be gone for good once the current supply runs out.

There are a lot of law enforcement agencies using Smith & Wesson’s M&P line of handguns, which is fitting enough given that M&P stands for “Military and Police.” It’s also for good reasons. The reliability and ergonomics of the M&P45 M2.0 make it an excellent duty or self-defense handgun that can withstand hard use over a long life. That said, we rarely see used examples in such great conditions. The guns host 4-inch barrels, night sights, and aggressive texturing for use even under harsh conditions.

Each comes with three 10-round magazines and three additional backstraps, and the department that purchased these guns opted to exclude a magazine safety and thumb safety. While these guns were certainly duty worthy, you can snag your own right now and own a genuine LEO M&P.
