Though there are good-looking and smooth-shooting .17 HMR rifles not mentioned here, this list is about the fancy, eye-catching, spendy, accuracy-guaranteed gems or otherwise glamorous numbers. It’s hard to justify these inflated price points unless we’re talking about impressive shooters. Not to worry – these are proven rimfire players.

The Others

There are plenty of rifles we’d like to add to this list and omit only because we’ve yet to fire them at length in a .17 HMR. We’ve seen and studied enough to know we’d gladly grab one of these and run to the range: any Anschutz in .17 HMR, a Winchester 1885 Low Wall, Browning T-Bolt, and the scarce Weatherby Mark XXII in .17 HMR.

Perhaps the priciest of all is also not yet mentioned, and we’re not terribly familiar with it, but the Alexander Arms Tactical 17 is an AR-style repeater that looks more than promising for high-volume, low-recoil joy.
