Colt produced seven of these beautiful presentation revolvers for the John Wayne family after he passed away in 1979. Each of his children received one.

This pistol bears serial number JWFP2, which stands for John Wayne Family Presentation 2. It was presented to Mary Wayne LaCava, the second of John Wayne's children. Mary passed away in 2000, leaving 8 children. This set is the only one ever offered on the market as the remaining six are in possession of John Wayne's family members.

It is being offered by Bob Hritz of Lilly's Tombstone Memories in Tombstone, Arizona. Like many gun shops across the nation, he is selling this beautiful firearm on Guns.com.

It is a Colt Single Action Army revolver chambered in .45 Colt. It has a 4.75-inch barrel and has never been fired. The blued frame has inlays of 24-carat gold, which is eloquently engraved with Colt and John Wayne motifs. The grip is made of checkered genuine ivory.

The revolver comes in a beautiful display case with glass sides. Inside are various tools and accessories, including an ivory oil bottle, brush, and a photo of "The Duke".

This set is of the finest quality ever produced by Colt and one of seven that were created for John Wayne's children. "Whoever ends up with it is going to be a very fortunate person because the chances of another one coming up this generation are zero," said Bob Hritz.
