The AMT Arms AutoMag II is a distinctive semi-automatic pistol chambered in .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire (.22 WMR), designed to bring the high velocity and flat trajectory of the .22 Magnum cartridge to a handgun platform. Manufactured by Arcadia Machine & Tool (AMT) beginning in the late 1980s, the pistol gained attention for its innovative design and stainless steel construction. Unlike many rimfire handguns chambered for .22 Long Rifle, the AutoMag II was engineered specifically to reliably cycle the more powerful .22 WMR cartridge through a delayed blowback operating system.
Constructed entirely from stainless steel, the AutoMag II offers excellent resistance to corrosion and wear while providing a solid, durable feel. Most models feature a 6-inch barrel, adjustable rear sights, and textured grip panels for improved handling. The pistol is fed from a detachable single-stack magazine and is known for its sleek appearance, inspired by larger centerfire semi-automatic pistols.
