Notes:
Manufactured by Colt in 1967 as one of the WWI Battle Commemorative 1911 pistols. Much like the 1911's of World War I, this pistol features a 5" barrel with low profile iron sights. Colt Royal blue finish. Left side of the slide is gold highlighted engraved with a battle scene depicting American soldiers firing on the German's across a river, Rampant Colt logo at the rear of the slide. Right side is gold highlighted engraved with a banner "1917 / WORLD WAR I COMMEMORATIVE / 1967" with the Colt single line address below. Gold highlighted serial number stamped below on the frame. Colt VP proof mark on the barrel at the ejection port. Semiautomatic action with grip and manual thumb safety. Fitted with maple-like wood grips with bronze medallions, left side round medallion with eagle stamped "1917-1918 / WORLD WAR", rectangle stamped "2nd BATTLE of the MARNE". Right side bronze medallion features a US solider with a list of allied countries. Fitted with a lanyard loop and includes a factory 7-round magazine.
CALIBER: 45 ACP. S/N: 4595-M2.
Very good condition, finish is in very good shape with light handling wear. Grips show some very faint dings. Excellent bore and mechanics.
