The FN Tactical Police Shotgun (TPS) is FN Herstal’s dedicated 12-gauge pump-action law enforcement shotgun built specifically for duty use rather than sporting applications.
It’s basically FN’s “AR-influenced riot shotgun” from the early 2000s.

Gauge: 12 gauge (2¾” & 3” shells)
Action: Pump-action (based on Winchester 1300 design)

FN didn’t just rebadge a hunting shotgun here—this was a purpose-built patrol weapon:
AR-15 style ergonomics (pistol grip + A2 stock on many models)

Rotary bolt lockup (Winchester 1300 heritage) for strength and speed
Short 18” barrel for vehicle / entry use
Designed for buckshot + slug duty loads
