The Historic Arms Bren Mk3 semi-automatic rifle is a closed-bolt, semi-auto recreation built from authentic British Bren Mk3 parts kits. Originally designed by Enfield in 1944 for airborne troops and jungle warfare, the Mk3 features a shortened 24.00" barrel and a lighter overall receiver than the earlier Mk1 and Mk2 models. These Historic Arms semi-automatic conversions offer a unique range of features and specs:Action: Closed-bolt semi-automatic system to comply with civilian legalities, retaining the classic top-loaded magazine setup.Caliber: Chambered in .303 British, making use of the traditional rimmed cartridge.Capacity: 30-round detachable box magazines (often loaded with 27-28 rounds to avoid rim lock).Weight & Length: Weighs roughly 19 lbs (unloaded) with an approximate overall length of 43 inches.Because these rifles are built on vintage parts kits, exact conditions vary. Many feature matching serial numbers on the receiver and barrel, and come equipped with classic folding steel bipods and carry handles. These Historic Arms builds are highly sought after by collectors, as fully transferable, original automatic Bren guns frequently command prices of $30,000 or more at auction. If you are considering acquiring or maintaining a Historic Arms Bren Mk3, let me know if you would like information on:Current market pricing and availability at specialty auction houses like Rock Island AuctionTips on finding and loading .303 British magazines to prevent rim lockDisassembly and cleaning procedures for the closed-bolt conversion system

Shopping at Guns.com gives you the backing of a company that is committed to your satisfaction.  And unlike our competitors, it extends beyond the buying process.  We get the FFL from your store – others make you find it, copy it, and fax it.  We have a generous return policy, and handle everything – you don’t have to go back to the store.  And our Rangemasters are here to answer all your questions about our products or process.  We're bringing a level of service to the online gun buying experience that is unheard of.

WE SUPPORT LOCAL GUN STORES

Many online gun sales actually take away from your local community.  Instead of buying a gun that’s on your local store’s shelf, most retailers drop ship it from a warehouse in another state.  At Guns.com, if an FFL is part of our network, we sell THEIR guns first whenever possible.  That way, we’re helping small businesses in your community AND if they have it in stock, you can pick your gun up IMMEDIATELY – it’s how business should be done.

WE KEEP IT SIMPLE
WE KEEP IT SIMPLE

Most everything can be easily bought online these days.  But for some reason, buying a gun online can be complicated.  Most websites are poorly organized, don’t tell you a lot about what you’re buying, and leave you on your own to figure out what you want.  Guns.com is built to be simple – easily organized products, useful descriptions from experts, and support to guide you to the right choice.  Spend your time enjoying the gun you want, not getting frustrated with a complex website that makes gun buying hard.
