These are Military 1911A1 that were given to a local Police Department after Vietnam. This firearm has the following features & Markings:
* 1944 Ithaca Frame
* M1911 A1 US Army Marked Slide
* FJA Marked on Frame
* Unmarked Slide with Serial # 7790314
* Vietnam Issued Magazine
This firearm is 90% in mechanicals and has a very tight slide to frame lockup. The barrel has a bright & shiny bore with sharp lands & grooves.
Excellent Collector's item or a Excellent Shooter.
I believe that these guns were reworked and given to the Police Department as additional firearms if needed where they sat in the safe for years without any use.
