This rifle features a forged front trunnion, bolt, and carrier, a cold hammer forged FN barrel, enhanced ALG trigger, Tank Brake muzzle device, and upgraded peep sight system — making it one of PSA’s most refined AK platforms.

The GF5 series was developed as Palmetto State Armory’s flagship AK line, engineered to offer improved durability and accuracy over traditional stamped AKM rifles. The inclusion of an FN-produced cold hammer forged chrome-lined barrel gives the rifle exceptional barrel life and heat resistance, while the forged internal components are built to withstand tens of thousands of rounds under hard use.
