UNFIRED! The SIG Sauer P229 in .40 S&W is one of the classic law-enforcement pistols of the 1990s and 2000s. It was specifically designed around the higher-pressure .40 S&W and .357 SIG cartridges, which is why it has a heavier milled stainless-steel slide than the earlier P228. Comes with original box, owners manual, and 2 magazines, (1) 10 rd capacity (1) 12 rd capacity.

Built like a tank – The .40-caliber P229 was engineered to handle the then-new .40 S&W and later the .357 SIG cartridge. Many shooters consider the older SIGARMS-era guns among the toughest metal-framed duty pistols ever made.
Federal agency pedigree – Variants of the P229 were carried by organizations including the U.S. Coast Guard, Federal Air Marshals, Border Patrol, and Secret Service.
Made during the SIGARMS era – If your slide says "SIGARMS" instead of "SIG SAUER," it was produced before the 2007 company name change in the U.S., which many collectors find desirable.
