Presented for review is a Springfield Armory 1911-A1 semi-automatic pistol, specifically commissioned in 2007 to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the National Rifle Association (NRA) Camp Perry National Matches (1907–2007). Chambered in the traditional .45 ACP, this limited-edition firearm—one of only 500 units produced—features a standard 5-inch barrel and is constructed from stainless steel with a uniform brushed finish. It serves as both a historical homage to a century of competitive marksmanship and a mechanically faithful representation of the classic John Browning design.
The slide is distinguished by several specific engravings, including the "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY" factory roll mark on the port side, the NRA block-letter insignia near the rear serrations, and a circular commemorative Camp Perry emblem located near the muzzle. The pistol is fitted with traditional double-diamond checkered rosewood grips, each inlaid with a custom, laser-engraved wooden medallion detailing the National Matches Camp Perry insignia. Mechanically, the firearm is equipped with competition-oriented enhancements, including a skeletonized trigger for a refined pull, a skeletonized rowel-style loop hammer, and a fully adjustable target-style rear sight paired with a standard front blade sight.
This collector's piece is housed within a bespoke presentation case designed for preservation and display. The rigid exterior is wrapped in a light-tan canvas material, accented with dark leather on the reinforced corners and handle, and secured by brass-toned latches. Inside, the case features a precision-cut, molded French-fit bedding lined with olive-drab felt to keep the firearm secure. Affixed to the interior lid is an inset plaque displaying the text "100th Anniversary Camp Perry National Matches," flanked by the standard NRA logo and a crest, authenticating the commemorative nature of the ensemble

Shopping at Guns.com gives you the backing of a company that is committed to your satisfaction. And unlike our competitors, it extends beyond the buying process. We get the FFL from your store – others make you find it, copy it, and fax it. We have a generous return policy, and handle everything – you don’t have to go back to the store. And our Rangemasters are here to answer all your questions about our products or process. We're bringing a level of service to the online gun buying experience that is unheard of.
Many online gun sales actually take away from your local community. Instead of buying a gun that’s on your local store’s shelf, most retailers drop ship it from a warehouse in another state. At Guns.com, if an FFL is part of our network, we sell THEIR guns first whenever possible. That way, we’re helping small businesses in your community AND if they have it in stock, you can pick your gun up IMMEDIATELY – it’s how business should be done.
Most everything can be easily bought online these days. But for some reason, buying a gun online can be complicated. Most websites are poorly organized, don’t tell you a lot about what you’re buying, and leave you on your own to figure out what you want. Guns.com is built to be simple – easily organized products, useful descriptions from experts, and support to guide you to the right choice. Spend your time enjoying the gun you want, not getting frustrated with a complex website that makes gun buying hard.
