This Springfield Armory M1 Garand, sporting serial number 3455456, stands as a spectacular piece of living history from the final, pivotal months of World War II. For a rifle that served through the era of American triumph, it remains in excellent condition with crisp rifling and clear historical cartouches stamped proudly into its walnut stock. What makes this piece exceptionally rare and highly valuable to collectors is the incredible survival of its core, factory-matched components. While the vast majority of wartime Garands were completely mixed together during post-war service, this rifle remarkably retains its original, matching January 1945 Springfield Armory barrel (stamped 3 SA 1 45), its period-correct D28287-19SA bolt, and its original D28290-18-SA trigger housing. Born at the very dawn of 1945 as Allied forces pushed toward final victory in Europe and the Pacific, this M1 Garand is more than just a finely preserved firearm; it is a direct, tangible symbol of the "Greatest Generation" and the industrial might that secured global freedom.
