O.F. Mossberg and Sons, Inc. is an American firearms manufacturer based in North Haven, Connecticut, with a large production facility in Eagle Pass, Texas. Although they recently introduced a semi-automatic handgun, the company is most well-known for their rifles and shotguns.
The company was started in 1919 by Oscar Frederick Mossberg and his two sons, Iver and Harold. Within two years, the business had outgrown the trio’s small rented space and needed to expand, and within a decade, they had three manufacturing facilities. Today, Harold Mossberg still runs the company, which remains America’s oldest family-owned firearms manufacturer.
Oscar Mossberg believed in making well-built firearms with simple designs that could easily be afforded by the average consumer. Today, the company holds that same principle while continually seeking to update and improve their products.
Available in lever-action, bolt-action, and semi-auto, Mossberg currently manufactures over two dozen different rifles, most with an array of variants with different options, features, and finishes.
Guns.com offers many new and used Mossberg rifles for sale, including the 464, Blaze, MMR, MVP, and Patriot.
