The CMMG Dissent MK4 operates on a Compact Action-Direct Impingement system, delivering consistent and smooth performance. The 14.5" barrel is made from 4140CM steel with a Salt Bath Nitride (SBN) finish, ensuring durability and accuracy. The 1:7 twist rate is optimized for the 5.56x45mm caliber, providing superior ballistic performance. The barrel is equipped with a CMMG ZEROED SVD Brake that is pinned and welded, which effectively reduces recoil and muzzle rise, allowing for quicker and more controlled follow-up shots.
This rifle features a Dissent side charger that is reversible, offering flexibility in handling. The adjustable gas block allows for precise tuning of the gas system, optimizing performance with various ammunition types. The upper receiver is made from DISSENT 7075 T6 aluminum, while the lower receiver is forged from Mk4 7075 T6 aluminum, providing a lightweight yet durable construction. The 13.5" proprietary CMMG handguard offers ample space for mounting accessories. The DISSENT side-folding stock and folding stock adapter enhance portability and ease of storage.
