The 1911 DS Warrior series combines Kimber's 1911 expertise with the high capacity of a modern double-stack design to give users the best of both worlds for the ultimate modern pistol. Every handgun is built from the ground up by a single technician with emphasis on maintaining tight tolerances for maximum precision and performance. The slide, frame and barrel are machined from stainless steel and is paired with Kimber's carbon fiber and glass-filled polymer Matrix series grip. Additional reinforcement comes in the form of a proprietary internal magazine shoulder that prevents over-insertion during high stress reloading that can damage the ejector.
This special edition model was created to honor the lives of military veterans and features a custom engraving on the slide along with a lightweight aluminum frame instead of the traditional stainless steel design. The slide features an optic-ready cut designed for use with optics sharing in the RMR footprint. Two magazines are included (one 17-round and one 20-round).
