The SR1911 closely emulates the traditional design that includes the classic, original fire control assembly for 1911 enthusiasts looking for the authentic feel of the original Colt design in a modern pistol package. The SR1911 is built using precision CNC-machining for superior fit and features positive barrel lock-up that maintains superior accuracy. The pistol includes a skeletonized trigger and hammer for reduced weight and increased performance along with an extended thumb safety for easy manipulation.
This special edition model has been released by Ruger to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America's independence and features unique engravings on the slide and grip panels for a one-of-a-kind look. This model comes chambered in .45 ACP and includes two 8-round magazines.
