The Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0FC Crossover redefines tactical versatility by merging full-size duty frame control with a compact slide assembly. Purpose-built for shooters who demand uncompromising capacity without excess front-end weight, the 4.0FC pairs a full-length polymer grip module with a quick-handling 4-inch hammer-forged steel barrel. Shipping with one 17-round flush magazine and one 20-round extended magazine, this hybrid configuration delivers maximum shooting stability and control in a perfectly balanced defense platform.
At the core of the Echelon 4.0FC is the Central Operating Group (COG)—a self-contained, serialized stainless steel chassis that houses the entire firing mechanism. This innovative engineering allows you to easily pull out the serialized chassis to swap between alternative grip frame modules or texturing styles as your layout needs change. The full-size frame features an aggressive, hand-conforming Adaptive Grip Texture and includes three interchangeable backstraps, allowing you to establish a secure master grip for superior recoil mitigation.
The billet-machined compact slide comes equipped with Springfield's patent-pending Variable Interface System (VIS). This advanced direct-mount optics framework utilizes a layout of self-locking pins to let you direct-mount over 30 popular red dot footprints straight to the slide—completely eliminating thick, loose adapter plates. This ultra-low-profile mounting format enables a clean, functional co-witness with the factory tactical rack U-notch rear sight and high-visibility tritium front night sight. Complete with fully ambidextrous controls and a crisp trigger pull, the Echelon 4.0FC offers elite duty performance engineered for modern fast-handling environments.
