The M1A is a semi-automatic, commercial reproduction of the legendary M14 rifle and is built to near exact standards with the exception of the fire selector switch. In celebration of Springfield's 50th Anniversary, these special edition rifles feature an anniversary medallion in the buttstock along with a unique certificate of authenticity and number engraving on the operating rod for each individual rifle. The rifles also feature Springfield's match-winning National Match grade barrels along with a matching two-stage, precision-tuned, match-grade trigger. A match grade non-hooded rear sight is also included featuring a 0.052 aperture with 0.5/1 MOA windage/elevation adjustments.

Each unique rifle features a 22-inch barrel and a black finish with a walnut stock. Included with the rifle is one 10-round magazine, a reproduction M14 Army technical manual (TM-9-1005-223-12), M1A cleaning kit, ODG cotton canvas rifle sling, custom display crate, and a soft rifle case.
