This modified Springfield Armory M1 Garand was manufactured in June or July of 1945 based on its serial number. Called "the greatest battle implement ever devised" by General George Patton, M1 Garands served with distinction from World War II into the Vietnam War. Though the stock has been replaced, this package still includes what appears to be a period specific military bayonet and scabbard.

This Springfield Armory M1 Garand is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 30-06 with an 8-plus-1 round capacity. A 24-inch barrel is adorned with an adjustable aperture rear sight and a wing protected post front sight. An aftermarket synthetic stock has been equipped onto this M1 Garand, replacing the original wooden furniture.
